Free BMX Sessions on Manchester Play Day 2024

In support of Play Day- A celebration of Children’s Right to Play and the start of Ancoats and Beswick, Clayton and Openshaw’s week of culture, the scheme activation lead has arranged for the National Cycling Centre to offer FREE BMX sessions for young people aged 8 to 16 years old who live ideally in Ancoats, Beswick, Clayton or Openshaw.

Participants must be able to ride a bike confidently and ride standing up.

Coaches will ensure participants are fitted to the right equipment, bikes and safety equipment will be provided.

Join expert British Cycling qualified coaches to test your BMX cycling skills on our indoor BMX Track. Coaches will work to develop your cycling skills to ride the track confidently and progress through different areas of the track.

Places are limited, each session is 2 hours and can have a max of 15 riders per session.

• Tuesday 6 August 1pm-3pm
• Tuesday 13 August 1-3pm
• Tuesday 20 August 1-3pm
• Wednesday 21 August 1-3pm
